A Yellow Bug

In a wood, only the twitting of birds and the sound of wind acknowledge the existence of life. Every place seems to be filled with giant evergreens and thickly grown bushes. In this magnificent wilderness, there is a trifling bug on a trifling leaf at a trifling branch. This small yellow bug is so ugly, fat, short, and insignificant that nobody, not even a single breeze of wind, cares about it. However, slowly but constantly, the bug is doing its job, even when no one is watching over it. In order to survive in this enormous world, the bug does its best. When it finds food, it eats the food for its life. It never refuses to eat even if it is full. The bug tries its best to adjust to every situation, whether it is in the best or the worst condition. Like this bug, I am a small and insignificant being in this colossal world. However, also like the bug, I always do my best in order to survive in the cruel world. Whenever I have a chance to eat something, not only food but also skills, knowledge, or habits that would work towards my benefit, I take it. Throughout my life, I have faced numerous situations: bright, wonderful, new, beautiful, tragic, terrible, and miserable... In those situations, even before my brain understood the circumstances, my body accommodated to the surroundings, just like the small yellow bug. Although the bug and I have different appearances, genes, environments and thoughts, through the bug, I can see my reflection, and through me, the bug will see its shadow.
